All the superlatives of “good” rated and classified

For a synonym enthusiast like me, this visualization is gold! Here’s the quantification of words around the word “good” when Brits and Americans store for something.

Better still, the YouGov site has plotted the results between Americans and Brits, to agree that the British are more extreme in their scoring of very positive or very negative words (but similar when it comes to more neutral words).
Only “mediocre” (4.28 vs. 4.29) and “really good” (7.78 vs. 7.81) show almost identical ratings between the two variants of English.
Now that I’ve seen that, I’d really like to see what the same questionnaire would look like, but in French from France (or another French-speaking country) and in Québécois French… I think it would be very interesting to analyze! 😉
